Due to the increasingly serious environmental pollution and the looming energy crisis,diesel engines need to further reduce the energy consumption and emissions.It is well known that the combination of turbocharger and diesel engine can improve the overall efficiency of powertrain,and the turbocharger system with high turbocharger ratio and small inertia can improve the steady and transient performance of diesel engine more effectively.The two-stage sequential turbocharging system uses multiple small moment of inertia turbochargers to operate in combination with the diesel engine,which provides high turbocharging pressure and greatly improves the transient response ability and thermal efficiency of the diesel engine.There is no mature two-stage sequential turbocharging control system in China.How to better realize the control of two-stage sequential turbocharging system has become a problem that researchers need to face.In this paper,a two-stage sequential turbocharging control system is developed,and the hardware-in-the-loop simulation test of the two-stage sequential turbocharging control box is carried out by using dSPACE equipment.The basic functions of the control box are verified.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)The overall design of the control system: clarify the composition of the control system,classify the signals present in the control system,clarify the control signals and the operational status signals that need to be monitored,determine the closed-loop control mode of the control system,determine the way that the control box uses liquid crystal display to display the system state information,design the control panel and function of the control box.(2)The hardware design of the control system: According to the amount of data that the control system needs to process and the functions to be realized,select the appropriate single-chip microcomputer,complete the overall design of the circuit board,according to the control requirements,select the AD conversion module that meets the control precision and real-time performance,Frequency pre-processing circuit for electromagnetic speed sensor trial,complete circuit design of power amplifier circuit and digital signal input and output,Completed the production of the control box.(3)The software design of the control system: the computer part,using the LabVIEW software to develop the upper computer monitoring system,the control box part,developing the automatic switching subroutine,the manual switching subroutine,the speed collecting subroutine,the display subroutine,the CAN communication subroutine,the AD conversion Subprograms,etc.(4)The average value model of two-stage sequential turbocharged diesel engine is established,and the Simulink model is run offline.Simulink model and RTI module are combined and downloaded to dSPACE device.Hardware-in-the-loop simulation experiments are carried out using dSPACE device and control box to verify the function of control box.
