Application Of Traditional Tenon-mortise Structure In Modern Landscape Public Facilities

As one of the representative symbols of Chinese traditional culture,the attention of tenon and mortise culture has been gradually decreased in recent years due to its complex structures and lack of model applications.Moreover,it's the applications in landscape public facilities are even rarer.Although tenon-mortise structure first emerged from China,it has attracted renewed attention because of the applications and innovations of tenon-mortise structure in Japan,Europe and America and other countries,which also makes the innovation and inheritance of tenon-mortise structure,a traditional Chinese technology,extremely urgent.After consulting a large number of traditional furniture and architectural literatures,the research background and related concepts are given and the research framework is defined.Moreover,the composition and characteristics of mortise structure as well as the structure and materials of landscape public facilities are analyzed.Through understanding the application prospects of mortise structure in modern design,some design strategies are put forward.Finally,several mortise structures with the value of landscape public facilities are extracted.Combined with modern design techniques,landscape public facilities with mortise and tenon cultural symbols and their night lighting design are carried out in Fengming Park,which provides a reference for further research on the applications of mortise and tenon structure in modern design.Taking Fengming Park in Honghe Scenic Area of Tengzhou City as the design carrier,the base is analyzed and integrated through on-site investigation,investigation and visits,using investigation method and literature analysis methods and the existing problems aresummarized,a example verification of how to realize the combination of tenon and mortise structure and landscape public facilities is given.There are three aspects where embody the combination of traditional tenon-mortise structure and landscape public facilities,which are applied to Fengming Park landscape public facilities design.Firstly,through applying traditional tenon and mortise structure to landscape public facilities,its advantages such as beautiful structure,flexibility and convenient assembly are given a full play.Secondely,traditional wood materials are adding into composite materials to show tenon and mortise.Mortise structure realizes the collision between ancient and modern,and reflects its modern fashion sense.Thirdly,to,tenon and mortise culture,one of the most representative symbols of Banmo culture in Tengzhou area,expresses the cultural characteristics of specific regions.It is beneficial to highlight the cultural characteristics of Tengzhou area and enhance the aesthetic level of regional landscape by showing it in the form of landscape public facilities.
