Sustainable development advocates accelerating the transformation of development strategies and adopting an eco-friendly development path,which is the core of the development of modern era.In recent years,the expanding urban development model and the increase of population-intensive cities have made the value of urban space more and more expensive.Under the influence of above social environment,improving the use efficiency of public space has gained more and more attention.Therefore,in order to meet the needs of today's society for the full use of space and the environment,the concept of elastic design came into being.The article analyzes the connotation of the concept of elasticity,explores development of elasticity in the design,and analyzes the reflection of elasticity in color,furnishings and material design.On this basis,the advantages of elastic design in resource utilization and improvement of life efficiency is proposed.Taking the space design of the tourist attractions visitor center as the research subject and combining the analysis of status quo,the article introduces the development status,proposes the design requirements of visitor center in the regional pattern planning,service type,characteristic design,and resource allocation demands.Taking the design of the tourist center of Maanshan Forest Park in Wuhan as a prototype,the article analyzes the problems in the project overview and design,and proposes methods in the transformation of tourist attractions visitor center,integrating with the elastic design.In addition,design and renovation programs and measures have been provided for specific areas such as landscape areas.Through the study of elastic design,this article provides innovative design methods in visitor centers and ideas suitable for urban development and ecological needs in follow-up researches.
