Compared with the high energy consumption cooling method of air conditioning refrigeration,natural ventilation can not only adjust the indoor thermal comfort,but also improve the indoor air quality.As a coastal city,Xiamen City has a lot of Residential buildings with many residents on each floor in the area because of the scarcity of its land resources.These south-facing houses which distributed in the middle of the building,because of the barrier of the internal transportation system inside the building,effective convection ventilation cannot be formed inside the house.These single-sided ventilation units also include a small one-bedroom single apartment.These single apartments are simply laid out.Because there is only a single window that can be ventilated,resulting in poor indoor ventilation and poor air quality.Similar single-sided ventilation rooms are also stocked in office buildings,hotels,and student apartments in Xiamen.Therefore,it is of great significance to study these factors affecting the indoor wind environment of a single-sided ventilated room.Firstly this paper summarizes the research status in the field of unilateral ventilation through the method of literature reading.Through field research,we can understand the current situation of single-sided ventilation rooms in Xiamen,and summarize the common opening forms of these rooms(single opening,double opening and multi-opening),common window forms(Casement window,Sliding window,and Hanging window).According to the characteristics of the above opening forms,and five representative physical models are set up in this paper,meanwhile these models were simulated using the CFD method.The results show that in the case of the same opening area,the multi-opening form(represented by Jiugongge)does not have the advantage of ventilation;the vertical opening(high window or low window)in the vertical direction of the wall can enhance the ventilation effect of the room as a whole.Through the analysis and comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of common window forms and new window forms(3 types),the window form suitable for indoor ventilation in one-sided ventilation room in Xiamen area is obtained.The CFD method was used to simulate the improved model of the common casement window in the area.The results show that the form of the sash shaft of the casement window is placed in the middle of the opening is more advantageous in guiding wind.The indoor wind environment evaluation standard in this paper mainly refer to the average wind speed of different indoor height planes(0.25m,1.5m,2.4m),and the wind field distribution characteristics of the indoor 1.5m height plane are used as auxiliary reference.In addition,this paper proposes improvement suggestions for horizontal sun visor and other air guiding members in Xiamen area,which can be supplemented as a ventilation optimization strategy suitable for single-sided ventilation rooms in the area.
