Secondary barrier installation platform for A-type tank is the new and lightweight scaffold which is used to support the installation engineering of the secondary barrier and it is a key supporting equipment for the construction of LNG carriers equipped with A-type tank,This paper takes the the secondary barrier installation platform of 45000m~3 LNG carrier as the object of study.Analyzed the design?optimization and the progressive collapse resistance of the installation platform.The contents are as follows:(1)The secondary barrier installation scaffolding platform is designed well and analyzed.This paper uses the allowable stress method to design the scaffolding platform.Established the 3D finite element model of the scaffolding platform in the conditions of linear static,after set the conditions for random variation of input variables,then calculate the structure's strength.According to the results of finite element calculations,the maximum deformation and maximum stress of the installation platform of different working conditions are obtained and the most dangerous working condition of the installation platform is determined.The verification is performed according to the specifications and the most dangerous working condition is used in the following research.(2)ANSYS Workbench is used as an optimization tool to optimize the design of the installation platform.The total mass of the structure is taken as the target variables,the nine basic dimensions of the scaffolding platform are taken as design variables,and then a size optimization is conducted.Through sensitivity analysis,response surface analysis and optimization analysis,the best optimization solution is obtained.Finally,the optimized scaffolding platform is analyzed by finite element software and the maximum stress and maximum deformation of the installation platform meet the application requirements.(3)Analysis of structure progressive collapse resistance was conducted based on the secondary barrier installation platform for A-type tank.The influence of the truss's location on the capacity of hanging layer's progressive collapse resistance was considered in the work,and the key trusses were identified according to components importance coefficient.Given the simulative conditions of single truss?2 trusses and 3 trusses to failure,considering the semi-rigidity of the nodes and the material nonlinearity,the residual structure is calculated using static nonlinear method.Evaluation about progressive collapse resistance of the installation platform was carried out according to the analysis result,and suggestions about structure progressive collapse resistance in practical project were also proposed.
