| With the large-scale expansion of enrollment and development of our colleges and universities in the past decades,great changes have been occurred in teaching mode and educational idea.During this process,rapid development and variations,especially the trend of openness,also appeared in university teaching buildings which generally not only function as the carrier of higher education but also are the most important building in colleges and universities.On the one hand,due to the generation of opening educational idea and teaching mode,the teacher-dominant teaching mode of ‘propagating the doctrine,imparting professional knowledge and resolving doubts’ was replaced gradually by the student-dominant opening teaching mode.The students’ study in the teaching buildings is no longer limited in the classroom,but exist in every part of either inside or outside the buildings.Nowadays,the students acquire extensive knowledge through conversation and spontaneous learning and these raise a claim on the opening of inner or outer space of the teaching buildings.On the other hand,the teaching buildings are important constituent parts of the university campus system which,meanwhile,is a subsystem of the social system.Under the opening educational mode,the resources in the teaching buildings should open to the campus and even the society to some extent,to fulfill the intersection and complementary among different subjects and to satisfy the expansion demands on social functions of universities.Based on the above two aspects and according to various objects to whom the teaching buildings open,this study divides the openness of teaching buildings into two levels,including the internal opening to the teaching building users and the external opening to the campus and society.In the first chapter,the background,purpose and significance of this study are presented,followed by the explanation of related concepts and the definition of research scope,and finally the domestic and overseas progresses as well as the content and methods in this thesis are discussed,providing the basis to the succedent chapters.In the second chapter,based on the conclusions and summaries of the development courses of domestic and overseas university teaching buildings,the development trend of teaching buildings is proposed.Subsequently,selecting the trend of opening as the kernel,discussions on the openness theory of teaching buildings are carried out and,the causes of openness and their supporting system are summarized.In addition,the division of the openness of teaching buildings into different levels is presented and,the reason why university teaching buildings become open and the definition of openness are answered,which will establish a frame and system with clear hierarchy for the future researches and designs.In the third chapter,the interior space design is expounded at the level of internal opening for university teaching buildings.The interior space of the buildings is summarized firstly to acquire the design principles of openness and then,the characterization methods on opening design of interior space of university teaching buildings are raised according to the principles and the content of internal opening level.In the fourth chapter,the discussion focuses mainly on the outdoor space design at the coexistence of internal and external openness for university teaching buildings.The outdoor space and the influence factors on the openness are elucidated firstly to obtain the opening design principles for outdoor space,followed by the proposal of creation methods on opening design of outdoor space of teaching buildings at the coexistent level of internal and external openness based on the principles and influence factors.In the fifth chapter,from the points of planning and management of university teaching buildings,the external opening level of the buildings is discussed to explain the suggestions of planning and managing on how to satisfy the demands of external opening.This thesis studies and discusses the openness of university teaching buildings at various aspects and levels,with the expectation to solve several problems existing in modern teaching buildings and to provide comprehensive understanding and reference for opening design of teaching buildings in the future. |
