Regional culture is a reflection of the people's spiritual outlook,lifestyle,aesthetic orientation,and living habits.It is a valuable asset for the survival and development of an area.The study of regional cultural application of urban comprehensive parks is conducive to enhancing people's sense of belonging to their own activities,continuing their emotional memory,inheriting and developing regional excellent culture.This paper takes 7 comprehensive parks in Zhanjiang downtown as the research object,analyzes the application status of its regional culture,and discusses the design application methods,techniques and forms of regional culture in the comprehensive park landscape.The main research results as follows:(1)The application of the Zhanjiang Comprehensive Park to the natural landscape features of the topography and landform of Zhanjiang City mainly includes two aspects,namely the island pattern of "Five Islands and One Bay" and the rich coastal resources.(2)The application of tropical and subtropical characteristic plant landscapes in Zhanjiang comprehensive park mainly includes five aspects.They are: A.There are mainly four kinds of plant landscape types mainly composed of tropical and subtropical palm plants: a.Coconut trees(Cocos nucifera)cluster to form a coconut landscape in the coastal area.b.A plant landscape formed by the planting of coconut trees.c.The plant landscape formed by the clustering of Roystonea regia is mainly applied to the square and combined with tree pools or landscapes to create landscapes.d.The plant landscape formed by Livistona chinensis trees is mainly composed of turf and sparse forest landscapes,combined with the square to form a tree-lined space.B.Application of large shade trees represented by Brassica genus,typical of the genus Amaranthus,which is composed of Ficus microcarpa and Ficus altissima,incombination with a restroom facility.C.A landscape formed by the colonization of large leafy plants such as Ravenala madagascariensis,Curculigo capitulata,and Alocasia odora.D.The colored landscape formed by the colonies of Melaleuca bracteata,Ficus microcarpa 'Golden Leaves',Alpinia zerumbet var.variegata and Codiaeum variegatum.Yellow and red dominate.E.Use tropical economic plants to create landscapes to improve economic and social benefits.(3)The characteristics of the use of regional culture in the garden sketches and architecture of“thatch stone house”in Zhanjiang comprehensive park are as follows:a.The garden sketches mainly include four aspects,namely: A.Displaying Zhanjiang's uniqueness in the form of landscape column reliefs.Splendid folk culture.B.Shows the long-established maritime culture of Zhanjiang with sculptures and structures.C.Using landscape wall reliefs and sculptures to demonstrate Zhanjiang's anti-imperialist and patriotic struggle against law.D,volcanic stone,coral stone,Leizhou Qingshi represented by the application of native stone park landscape.The combination of stone landscapes is based on the special setting of the entrance view stone,the grouping at the bank,and the dispersal on the beach and lawn.b)The application of the “architecture stone house” of the regional architecture was most used in the fishing port park and the Sino-Australian friendship garden.Its architectural planes are mostly "back"-shaped layouts to form courtyards,featuring thatched roofs and stone-clad walls.In the application of the park,attention is paid to the innovation of the traditional architecture of “thatch stone house”,exaggerated deformation of the roof of the building,reduction of wall area,and material renewal.
