The steel structure residence building is the inevitably choice for the development of construction industry as the steel used in the structure.The steel has the advantages of recycling,saving energy,fast construction speed,etc.The steel frame was widely used in steel structure residence.In order to improve the lateral stiffness of the steel frame,the vertical support is arranged between the beam and column part,forming a steel braced frame structure system.At present,the research on steel frame bracing structure mainly focuses on the overall mechanical behavior of steel frame braced structure and the connection between support and beam column joints.There are few researches on the connection form of steel support and square steel tube column,and there are many problems in the common way of supporting connection at present.Due to the complex construction technology and the difficulty of ensuring the quality of existing connection form,it is difficult to be applied to the requirements of building industrial production.Therefore,the research of new joints connected by steel braces and steel frames has good application prospects and research significance.In this paper,two new type of the connections between K shaped steel support and square steel tubular column has designed,respectively for steel plate reinforced square steel tube column-K shaped steel bracing joint and T-stub connected joint between square steel tube column and K shaped steel bracing.Two kinds of nodes are modeled and analyzed by the finite element analysis software(ABAQUS),monotonous loading and reciprocating loading are carried out by using load module.According to the load displacement curve,hysteretic curve,skeleton curve,ductility and stiffness degradation of joints,the ultimate bearing capacity,energy dissipation capacity,failure mode and mechanism of joints are studied,the parameters that affect the mechanical properties of the joints are also analyzed.Meanwhile,the finite element numerical simulation of steel frames with two new joints is carried out,and the ductility,initial stiffness and ultimate bearing capacity of steel frames are analyzed.The results of finite element analysis show that the force path and failure mechanism of steel plate reinforced square steel tube column-K shaped steel bracing joint and T-stub connected joint between square steel tube column and K shaped steel bracing are all in conformity with the design requirements.The two kinds of joints have good working performance under the action of monotonous and reciprocating loads.The mechanical characteristics of each stage under the action of monotonous load are very distinct,the connections have good bearing capacity and ductility,and have good ductility and seismic performance under the reciprocating load,The ductility and energy dissipation capacity of the two kinds of connections meet the requirements of the relevant specifications.Through the analysis of the load displacement curve and the stress of each part of the steel frame with a new type of joint,the yield sequence of the steel frames with two new types of joints under the load is I-shaped steel support,I-shaped steel beam,Square steel tube column.The two new types of joints show good ability to adapt to the deformation in the process of the overall stress of a steel frame,at the same time,the feasibility of using K-shaped support in the steel frame structure with external support is also proved.On the basis of the finite element analysis,according to the requirements of the relevant design specification,and refer to the construction method of the existing steel frame support structure,the construction proposal of two new types of joints is given and a certain reference for the application of two new types of joints in the assembly type steel structure housing are provided in this paper.
