In recent years,due to excessive renovation of the room,the indoor environment seriously deteriorated,indoor decoration materials,environmental protection by the people’s attention.Diatomite as a pure natural non-toxic multi-porous structure of inorganic non-metallic materials,used in environmental protection substrate developed a multi-functional building decoration materials and concern.Diatomite-based building materials not only have the traditional inorganic materials,high temperature,high compressive strength,good corrosion resistance,excellent weather resistance and other characteristics;also has to adjust the indoor air humidity,clean indoor air and other functions.In recent years,in foreign countries,especially in Japan and Germany,diatomaceous earth has been widely used in a variety of building materials.Diatomite-based new building materials are non-toxic and harmless,and waste 1s not produced in the production process.This new type of building plate not only has the traditional inorganic building materials insulation,insulation,sound absorption,flame retardant and other characteristics,but also has diatomaceous earth specific regulation of air relative humidity,remove indoor harmful gases,clean indoor air and so on.The purpose of this study is to develop a new method for the preparation of diatomaceous earth-based moisture-proof sheet.The new type of diatomite-based humidity-controlling sheet can improve the environment and comfort of the indoor environment while adjusting the indoor air humidity.The optimum raw material ratio(mass fraction)of diatomaceous earth-based moisture-controlling sheet was determined by comparing the properties of the plate.The optimum ratio of raw material was determined by comparing the effect of the addition amount of each raw material on the performance of the product.50%of diatomaceous earth,15%of white cement,20%of polyethylene-vinyl acetate,4%of calcium carbonate,6%of talc,12%of polyvinyl alcohol solution and 50%of powder.A lightweight diatomite-based moisture-proof interior wall panel with excellent properties was prepared according to the optimum molding conditions of molding pressure of 16MPa,molding temperature of 135℃ and holding time of 40min.The product has the following properties:bending strength>1OMPa,bulk density(bulk density)is only about 1100kg/m3(than the traditional sintered diatomaceous earth ceramic material density 1700~1800kg/m3 lighter about 35%),water absorption>30%.The preparation process used in this paper solves the problem of high energy consumption caused by the calcination and steaming process used in the traditional diatomite sheet.
