With the increasing scale of power grid,a large number of grid data's batch processing has become an urgent problem.Therefore,whether excellent open automation functions can be provided has become an important standard of measuring power system numerical simulation softwares.Meanwhile,considering a huge number of complex analysis tasks,applying simulation philosophy of automated batch analysis to power system numerical simulation which uses the powerful and flexible power system numerical simulation softwares effectively and achieves the transformation that from the traditional single-style grid analysis pattern to automated batch analysis.Based on these,the automated batching program of the power system transient simulation and the analysis of security and stability was designed and developed in this paper,and the program was applied in the UHV grid analysis.At top of the list,the implementation scheme of great grid security and stability analysis based on PSS/E was proposed.The key technology and mechanism of PSS/E openness was expounded after analysising the great openness of PSS/E.The objects of automated batching evaluation study in the analysis of security and stability include the input data files,the saved files of examples and Python program files.Furthermore APIs of PSS/E,like load flow calculation and transient stability analysis,were called through Python and the Python program that could achieve particular simulation functions were formed.Finally,to complete the interaction with PSS/E,Run Program Automation File is used through I/O Control in PSS/E.In addition,the automated batch simulation analysis of single-fault contingency and multiple-fault contingency based on PSS/E was designed and achieved.The fault simulation analysis is a tedious,heavy-workloaded simulation task,which needs repeated multiple times and similar simulation to get predicted results of the all envisaged fault set.The strategy of automated batch simulation analysis of single-fault contingency and multiple-fault contingency was proposed in this paper and it was achieved through Python programming,which could automatically batch simulate transient angle stability,voltage stability and frequency stability in anticipated fault set.Last but not the least,example simulations were displayed.Examples include the stable operating conditions of Shandong power grid in 2016,Qingdao power grid in 2016 and UHV AC project from Ximeng to Shandong,which provided services for research,planning,design,dispatching and running in the power system,proved that the automated batching program possessed well openness and flexibility and had great realistic significances in reducing workload of the analysts.
