Electric load simulator can simulate the aerodynamic load during the flight,and test the torque loading of the rudder of an aircraft with full range,and analyze the performance of the rudder,converting the traditional physical field test to predictive study under the laboratory conditions,So in view of the current existing inadequate in the electric load simulator, the optimal design of the electric load simulator has important theoretical and application value.The research data of the load simulator from domestic and overseas show that the surplus torque is the most important factor affecting the performance of the electric load simulator.The causes and characteristics of surplus torque are researched and analyzed,and the schematic design of system, verification, processing and the selection of major components of the electric load simulator are completed,in order to suppress the generation of surplus torque,and improve the dynamic and static characteristics of the load simulator.For the problem of the big surplus torque when electric load simulator in commutation,a method of designing a torque converter device to reduce the time of commutation and restrain structure surplus of the system effectively is proposed.The core institutions of torque synthesizing apparatus is a complex gear train, according to the relevant parameter indicators the structural design of the gear train is checked.The modeling work was done in Solidworks software and the kinematics and dynamics torque synthesizing simulation was done in ADAMS software,according to the relevant parameter indicators the structural design of the gear train is checked. For the problem of too large overall stiffness for electric load simulator,results in a surplus torque increases, loading precision degradation,the elastic rod is designed to reduce the overall system stiffness and improve the load simulator performance.In order to reduce the surplus torque and improve overall system performance as the principle,the elastic rod length is optimized.the finite element modal analysis and fatigue life simulation was done in ANSYS softwareThe kinematics and dynamics torque simulation results verify the validity of the design on the one hand, on the other hand also explains the transferring efficiency of torque converter device to meet the requirements of the electric load simulator. The finite element modal analysis and fatigue life Simulation results show that the natural frequency and fatigue life of the elastic rod meet the requirements of electric load simulator.
