With the accelerating process of regional economic integration,the demand for intercity travel by citizens has been increasing year by year.At the same time,the competition of multiple modes of transportation and the improvement of quality of citizens' life have led to the development of passenger transport demand in the direction of individualization and diversification.Therefore,the intercity microbus has emerged at the right moment,which is a new type of passenger transportation that takes the form of travel passengers between urban public transport and road passenger transport.However,the current researches on intercity travel mostly focus on the selection of travel modes and the characteristics of travel behaviors,while there are few studies on the planning of intercity microbus road scheduling.This paper decomposed the scheduling problem of intercity microbus into the problem of virtual site location and route recommendation,and solved them separately.Finally,the actual case was compared with the established model to prove that this model can reduce the total distance traveled by the microbus and the operating costs of the company.The main researches of this paper are as follow:(1)For the intercity microbus pattern,the site location model was constructed and solved.Taking passengers as the main consideration,a virtual site location model was constructed.Leading into the non-equal coverage radius theory,a three-phase heuristic algorithm was developed.Finally the Cplex branch and bound algorithm was used to solve the problem,and the sensitivity of the site location coefficient was analyzed.The model can gather passengers with similar positions to the same station,and the average walking distance of passengers meets the requirements.Therefore,the effectiveness and practicability of the model is validated by analysis of examples.(2)Based on the virtual site location of the intercity microbus,a vehicle routing problem with time windows(VRPTW)model was conducted on the route planning of intercity microbus.Through the problem analysis,the intercity microbus route planning was transformed into a vehicle routing problem with time windows.However,due to the uncertainty of the time,when passengers arrive at the corresponding microbus station,the time window was a complex uncertain time constraint.After the actual situation of intercity microbus was analyzed,the latest times the microbus arriving at stations were determined,and the vehicle dwell times were set as the decision variables.A VRPTW model for intercity microbus was constructed,and the model case was solved by the Cplex branch and bound algorithm to verify the accuracy and effectiveness of the model.(3)An intercity microbus from a passenger transport company was chosen as an actual case to compare with the model and algorithm of this paper.Taking the actual intercity microbus of a passenger transport company as a background,based on the actual operational data,with the virtual site selection model and the three-phase heuristic algorithm and route planning model,the problem was solved.By comparing the results of the model algorithm with the actual planning situation,this paper proved that this model can set up virtual sites to gather passengers with similar positions to the same site.Thereby this model reduce the travel distance of the microbus and achieve the compression of the operating costs of the passenger transport company,and finally achieve the purpose of improving the core competitiveness of passenger transport company.
