The Traditional Space Construction Methods Of A Ming Dynasty Style Town Beside The Tiansheng Bridge In Lishui,Nanjing

Since the “13th Five-Year Plan” proposed in 2016,the development of small towns has become a hot topic at all levels of the government,enterprises,and the society.Small town has become an important growth point for China’s urbanization construction and development.Relying on small towns’ own unique historical and cultural resources to create a tourist town has become one of the new hot spots.The cultural connotation in Nanjing Tianshui Bridge Scenic Area is insufficient,and the area also lacks of supporting facilities for tourism or tour activity.In a word,this scenic spot has no distinctive features.The planning is going to create a tourism town that integrates history,culture and leisure.This planning and design study is based on this goal and the superior plan,trying to make various arrangements for the town.The main task of the study is to combine the Ming cultural connotation of Nanjing Lishui with the spatial features of traditional architecture to create a “Daming Town” with Ming culture as its core and space characteristics.At the same time,the solution to the contradiction between the functions of modern recreation and traditional space is also discussed.This planning and design use typological research methods and realize the design process "form to type to new form".Based on the case analysis,the spatial structure of traditional small towns is summarized,and the basic structure and representative elements of the traditional small towns are drawn.Then according to the site connotation and topography of the Tiansheng Bridge area in Lishui district,the types of spatial elements are combined and constructed hierarchically to build this town.At last,to satisfy modern tourism functions,this design select a appropriate scale for the town and adjust the details.Through the planning and design practice of the “Daming Town” in the Tiansheng Bridge Area,this method of constructing the tourism township space using typology was proved.The integration of traditional features and modern tourism features has been put into practice,as well as the integration of traditional architectural styles and modern design techniques.The research provides a way of constructing tourism town space based on the characteristics of traditional town space.The research results have certain reference value for the construction of tourism towns with traditional spatial characteristics in the South areas.
