The different groove structure of the T-joint is widely used in ship construction,which welding angular deformation will adversely affect the installation,the strength and safety of the hull structure,and then reducing the efficiency and the quality of construction of the ship.Therefore,there is a theoretical and practical significance to study the accurate prediction and effective control of different groove welding angular deformation.The finite element software SYSWELD was used in this article,the welding deformation of T-joint in different groove is simulated based on the thermo-elastic-plastic finite element method(FEM).On the basis of the verification of simulation results,the influence of welding sequence and anti-deformation on the welding angular deformation was studied.Firstly,about the prediction for angular distortion,method of heating source loading in different groove was formulated according to the respective welding process,and simulated the temperature field,stress field and deformation.The angular deformation obtained by numerical simulation is compared with the experimental results,and its consistency verified the accuracy of simulation model.Then,on this basis,the influence of welding angular deformation is studied from the aspects of optimized welding sequence and anti-deformation control.For the method of optimizing the welding sequence,different welding sequence scheme was designed according to different groove form,the residual stress and angular deformation under each scheme are numerically simulated and compared,the optimal welding sequence in different groove under design was determined.For anti-deformation control methods,deflection curve equation was deduced based on theory that plate deformation energy can be equal to the internal storage of the strain energy.Through numerical simulation,the change of the angular deformation before and after the application of the anti–deformation was compared.It is found that the welding angular deformation of T-joint has been greatly reduced after the inverse deformation from calculation of deflection equation was applied,which account for the validity of deflection curve equation and provide strong guidance for welding process design of T-type components in actual engineering.
