As an important method of absorbing advanced technology,improving the design and manufacturing standards,reverse engineering is more and more widely used in various fields.Taking certain punch-type hydrodynamic torque converter as a sample,by reconstructing three-dimensional model and extracting basic parameters of cascade,this study designed punch and die parts of pressing formational mould,improved die design and verified the rationality of mold design.Combined with grating project and tradition contact surveying and mapping,this study measured target hydrodynamic torque converter and then got point cloud data.After using Rapidform software to preprocess point cloud data,noise data deletion,data reduction,data segmentation and data smoothness were realized.With the combination of UG software,the final model was accomplished.Besides that,this study used isometric projective method to get developed views of blades and extracted design parameters of cascade.According to the technology characteristics of hydrodynamic torque converter blades,this study designed double action drawing technics,which bending forming first,and then drawing reinforcing rib.In order to avoid blank slipping,motionlink was designed to fix the blank.Based on the principle of pressing formation,punch and die parts of blades were designed.Different design parameters have severe impact on stamping results in mold design process.In this study,stamping direction is the key parameter.By using Dynaform software,this study simulated the blade forming process.In analysis phase,this study chooses Belytschko Tsay thin-shell element style,anisotropic material model,set double-sided contact constraints,use dynamic display method for solving?By compary between different stampingdirection results,the best angle adjustment scheme was confirmed.Because of minimize the process of trying dies,developing period was also shortened substantially.
