Study On Defect Detection,Quantification And Assessment Of Sewers In Yixing City

Abstract/Summary:
Sewage network is an important part of urban infrastructures.The acceleration of nationwide urbanization in China leads to extensive and very fast development of sewer pipe system as well as serious pipe drawbacks.The detection and assessment of sewer system is becoming more difficult due to the complexity of pipe network.This paper designs a quantification model to understand the drawbacks,and Yixing city was selected as region of interest.Research was conducted in terms of detection of pipes,quantification of defects and online monitoring,and the results showed that:(1)10 weaknesses were detected via video screening 263 series of sewer pipes with defects in Wuxi city and Yixing city.They can be classified into 5 types: leakage,miss connection,transformation,damage and barrier,and a rapid method of classification is concluded based on the defects.Diagram of sewage network detection result can be standardized based on the classification method.Besides,quantification plan of pipe drawbacks can be introduced based on classification of drawbacks and rank of order of pipes,as well as the quantity of pipe drawback Q.(2)According to the pipeline inspection and recording process,436 pipelines of Yixing city is detected and recorded by hand-held pipeline periscope video(QV)detection technology and robot-based closed-circuit television(CCTV)detection technology.The pipeline defects were classified and the defect quantification value Q was calculated.According to the size of Q,the pipeline health level is divided into 4 ranks: no defects,minor,medium,emergency.14 pipelines were found in an emergency situation,accounting for 3.2% of the total pipelines.Analyzing the relationship between the number of maintenance of the pipelines with the critical defects and the defect quantification value Q,the rationality of the defect quantification scheme was verified.(3)Model of Sewage pipe drawback database has been applied to the existed pipe GIS platform in Yixing city.Records of 436 pipes in Yixing city were uploaded by following the procedure of monitoring of pipes.The conditions of pipes were marked at different colors according to Q value,and automatic classification of sewage pipes and visible monitoring can be reached.
