With deepening understanding of history cognition,the society pays increasing attention to archeological sites,which results in development and opening of cultural heritages for the public to learn and study.The academics also shows more interest in heritage sites and relevant research directions such as design methods and theoretical analysis are popular.This paper presents the analysis of design of the Porcelain Tower in Nanjing,based on related theories on cultural heritage,design methods and case studies from China and abroad.The Porcelain Tower in Nanjing is an archeological site of major research interest in Jiangsu Province in recent years.It is of great significance to the spread of Chinese Buddhist culture.Its architecture is also an outstanding masterpiece in the Chinese history and has a remarkable social and historical value.In this paper,the theory of the heritage park is categorized and summarized,and both domestic and foreign examples are analyzed.Using the case study of the Porcelain Tower in Nanjing,this paper aims to develop a theoretical framework that integrates inheritance and space construction.The paper is structured as follows.Firstly,this paper collates similar cases of the design of heritage site,both domestic and abroad.It analyzes and summarizes them in detail,distills their common feature and compares that with the case study,Porcelain Tower in Nanjing.Next,it investigates and assesses the current status and design of the Porcelain Tower thoroughly.Finally,combining domestic and abroad examples and the characteristics of the temple,the paper presents an in-depth research regarding the template's display style,history's knowledge delivery and cultural significance.In conclusion,it comes up with an summarized framework for the display design of the archeological sites in the modern era.
