This paper took a domestic +800 kv converter station valve hall structure as the research object,quasi-static test and finite element simulation were used in the framework-embedded firewall structure,then proposed two kinds simplified designed calculating method of structure of valve hall frame-embedded firewalls,and the applicability of the related influence parameters are discussed.In the end,seismic performance analyses were used in the valve hall entity model,equivalent single strut simplified model and equivalent multi strut simplified model.The specific work is as follows:1.Quasi-static test were carried out of an experimental model of embedded assembly firewall structure which was 3:1 scale reduced by the converter station valve hall,it is found that it’s energy consumptions and ductility are with good performance.At the same time,nonlinear finite element analysis were also carried out,from the contrast analysis of test phenomena and the load-displacement curve,it is found that their lateral stiffness and stress state are similar,the compressive stress of the wallboard is obviously inclined to a slant pressure region,which is similar to the effect of the diagonal brace or the pressure bar in the truss.2.Using ABAQUS calculated effective width formula of the existing equivalent single strut model based on the filler wall on the applicability of the framework-embedded assembly firewall structure.And then through the simulation calculation of nine equivalent single strut models with same span-depth ratio,the effective width formula of equivalent single strut model is fitted,and on the basis of it,the effective width calculation formula of equivalent multi strut simplified model is put forward,and the applicability of some influence factors of these formula are analysis.3.Established valve hall entity overall model,equivalent single strut simplified model and equivalent multi strut simplified model of the framework-embedded assembly firewall structure in SAP2000,and using the modal analysis,response spectrum analysis and elastic time history analysis to analyze the seismic performance of these three overall structure.It is found that the structure stiffness were distributed uneven and torsion resistance were poor,longitudinal displacements of the frame structure with firewall were smaller than which of the steel frame and firewall-frame outside of the major structure with converter device,it illustrated the setting of firewalls could improve the lateral stiffness of the structure to a certain extent.It also found that the equivalent effect of equivalent single strut model in the overall seismic calculation is not so good,but the vibration mode cycle,modal stiffness,displacement,displacement angle and displacement-time history curve in elastic time history analysis of equivalent multi strut model are near to the valve hall entity model which means that the lateral stiffness of them were similar,so it can be treated as a feasible simplified equivalent model.
