The traditional overhead transmission line tower cross-bearing is steel structure,and ceramic cross-bearing material is used to replace the tower cross-bearing in a few cases.Steel structure crossbars do not have insulation characteristics,The insulation distance of the tower head increases as a result,Width of line corridors has also increased as a result;Ceramic crossbars solve the problem of insulation,However,ceramics have disadvantages of fast aging,easy contamination and vulnerability,operation and maintenance is very difficult,has gradually withdrawn from the tower crossbars market.Composite materials have been widely used in high voltage transmission lines due to their good insulation,light weight,corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.Three aspects of mechanics,electrical and application of composite cross arm are studied in this paper.The bending characteristics of the common structures of composite crossbars under load were studied,the voltage distribution characteristics of composite materials in tower head insulation were studied,and the feasibility,standardization and economy of the application of composite crossbars on overhead transmission line towers were studied.According to the characteristics of the region,the application scheme of composite cross-bearing is designed,which is economical,reasonable,effective and easy to implement,and the hot issues such as operation and maintenance,corridor width are solved.In view of the engineering application of 66 kV transmission line composite cross-bearing,the full stress calculation,ANSYS electrical simulation and CAD drawing software are used to calculate and simulate the structural mechanics,insulation coordination and tower head voltage sharing design.Finally,the rationality of the design scheme is verified by experiments,and the application of the product is feasible.The conclusion of the study is of guiding significance to the application of 66 kV composite transmission cross section.
