with features as wide distribution and large geometric dimensions,China's power grid is very vulnerable to natural disasters such as hill fires.Due to the development of power resources,more and more transmission lines will and have passed through mountains which are covered with dense forest.The unique landforms and climatic conditions in these areas are prone to causing fires,which may cause a series of consequences to the power grid.For example,tripping of power transmission lines and burning of the transmission lines in some serious situations.As a result,our power grid will suffer a long-term irrecoverable accidents.Therefore,the best solution to deal with such fires is to find the fire source at the first time and notify relevant personnel to handle it in time.So,in order to satisfy these requirements,a rapid response fire alarm and warning system is needed.(1)According to the basic idea of the infrared diagnostic technology that applied in faulty equipment in power systems,the design idea of this fire alarm system is to scan the monitoring environment and send out a warning by means of collecting the mid-infrared spectrum of the target.This system can be used in different kinds of places,such as the forest near the UHV transmission line,various warehouses with the same type of combustibles.(2)This article presents the details of the fire warning and alarm system.The scheme includes both the design of the upper computer and the design of the detection equipment.The upper computer part is divided into the graphic interface part and the data processing part which have been designed separately,and various functional modules have been detailed one by one.The detection equipment part focused on the design of the detection equipment,and conducted a deep analysis of the core control circuit system.At the same time,this paper takes the expansion of future functions into account which need to process and store a larger amount of data,the design of external expansion memory and the wireless transmission module are both included.(3)This paper attempts to make use of image processing technology and pattern recognition technology to judge and identify the suspected fire in the scanned image.At the same time,it will make further decisions based on the collected environmental information.Mainly from the following four parts,the infrared image preprocessing,image segmentation,feature extraction and fire pattern recognition,in which,feature extraction and fire pattern recognition is the key work.
