A linear and rotary permanent magnet generator(LRPMG)and its power conversion unit are designed for wind and wave combined power system(WWCPS).The LRPMG can simultaneously use wind and wave energy to generate electrical energy,and the electric energy becomes the sine wave alternating current with constant amplitude and frequency using the electric energy conversion unit.Compared with the traditional wind and wave combined power system,a new wind and wave combined power system based on linear and rotary permanent magnet generator has the advantages of more compact structure,higher material utilization and low comprehensive cost.The main contents of this thesis are as follows:(1)A new structure of wind and wave combined power system based on a novel linear and rotary permanent magnet generator is proposed to solve the problems of the current wind and wave combined power system.The structure characteristics and operation principle of the combined power system and the linear and rotary permanent magnet generator are analyzed,and the mathematical model of the generator is established.(2)The design features and special requirements of the linear and rotary permanent magnet generator are pointed out based on the operation principle of wind and wave combined power system.The relation between wave and wind speed is clearly defined,and the calculation method and result of rated speed of the rotor and mover are given.(3)According to the requirements,the electromagnetic design of the linear and rotary permanent magnet generator is carried out and the electromagnetic parameters of the generator are calculated.The electromagnetic field in the generator is calculated by the finite element method.The correctness of the theoretical analysis and analytical calculation is verified.(4)The output characteristics of the linear and rotary permanent magnet generator are calculated and analyzed.The influence of the electromagnetic parameters on the output characteristics,including the air gap magnetic density and the magnetic field coupling is revealed The parameters are optimized and the performance and power density of the generator are improved.(5)The basic structure of the energy conversion unit of the wind and wave combined power system is determined,and the simulation model of the energy conversion unit is set up.The energy conversion process is simulated and analyzed based on the ideal voltage source and the field circuit coupling method,and the sine wave inverter is developed to verify the simulation analysis and theoretical calculation results.
