Abstract/Summary:
As traffic jams tends to be more serious,it takes more energy and time for people to drive a car out.Long-term traffic congestion makes the driver mentally stressed and fatigued and it does not favor the traffic safety.There are many factors that cause traffic jams,one of them is the motor vehicle in the process of "temporary parking-start",the driver can’t start in time or rush to start causing further congestion.This topic mainly aims at the above problems,using machine vision technology to study the intelligent prompting system for temporary parking of motor vehicles in road traffic.Considering that there are two cases of temporary parking in vehicles and temporary parking on roads,the temporary parking of the junction should be judged according to the indication of the signal,and the temporary parking in the road should be judged according to the motion state of the front vehicle,Therefore,the study is divided into two parts,which are as follows:(1)Detection and identification of traffic lights at intersections.First,the acquired images are preprocessed,and the signal recognition area is extracted by color segmentation and shape segmentation.Then,the circularity algorithm and the template matching method are used to identify the signal lamp type.Finally,the HSI color space is used for color discrimination based on the value range of chromaticity H value.The experimental results of recognition signal lamp show that this method can reliably and accurately identify different types of traffic signals in complex background.(2)Discrimination of the state of motion of the pre-vehicle.The pre-vehicle motion state content discrimination includes the car spacing and speed.This paper measures vehicle spacing and vehicle speed based on the license plate area.Due to the vibration of the body and the movement of the preceding vehicle,the image of the collected license plate will be blurred.Therefore,it is of necessity to recover the fuzzy license plate image;On the basis of the restored license plate image area to establish a distance model and calculate the vehicles distance;Finally,in line with the vehicles distance obtained Distance model to compute vehicle speed.The experimental results show that the error of the measured distance of the algorithm can be controlled within 5.5%,and the maximum error between the measured vehicle speed and the actual vehicle speed is 4%.In summary,this paper provides theoretical and technical support for the construction of the intelligent reminder system for the temporary parking of motor vehicles in road traffic by detecting and identifying the signal lights at the intersections and discriminating the motion state of the pre-vehicles.
