XRF spectrometry is an instrumental analysis method used for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of chemical elements and is suitable for the analysis of major,minor and trace elements in a wide range of samples.With the rapid development of microelectronic technology and continuous improvement of manufacturing technology,nowadays,EDXRF spectrometer has more room for the improvement in the testing methods,instrument structure and spectrum resolution technology.At the same time,contemporary society attaches great importance to such issues as environmental testing and formulation of industrial standards to provide more room for EDXRF spectrometry.Therefore,the development of a cost-effective,high performance,wide range of applications of energy dispersive Xray fluorescence analyzer has some practical significance.In this paper,we first design the hardware platform of EDXRF spectrometer,including the excitation system,detection system and security system.The excitation system includes a high voltage generator,X-ray tube and filter and collimator.The detection system includes a sample stage,detector and CCD camera.Support system including power supply,control panel and instrument status monitoring.The three functional systems communicate with the PC through the control circuit and complete the test under the command of the host computer.Control circuit is the core of the lower machine,responsible for the hardware components of the instrument coordination.Control circuit uses STM32f103 as the main control chip,including the main control chip peripheral circuits,power circuits,control circuits,communication circuits and detection circuits.Lower machine control program is based on MDK software development,the main task is to receive the instructions sent by the host computer and parse,coordinate the next crew to complete the specified operation of the various components.After the hardware platform is built,the software of EDXRF is designed.PC software development environment is DELPHI,mainly to achieve the following functions: provide a friendly man-machine interface,communicate with the lower machine,X-ray spectrum analyze and provide analyze results;manage analysis results and user rights.This topic uses the third party architecture DEVEXPRESS to develop the user interface,debug and control the lower computer through USB and serial port,the software realizes the FP method,and manages the instrument data based on SQL Server.After finishing the design of the upper computer and lower computer of EDXRF,assemble the prototype and test the prototype performance.Through many measurement data of bronze standard samples,the performance parameters of the prototype are evaluated,including the repeated measurement repeatability,measurement accuracy and instrument stability.The analysis results show that the developed EDXRF spectrometer can rapidly analyze a wide range of multi-elements of silicon(Si)to bismuth(Bi)with good repeatability and measurement accuracy.
