The armored rubble breakwater is a common protection structure in coastal engineering.The design of armored rubble breakwater follows the standard to allow wave overtopping,so it is of great engineering significance to reasonably estimate the overtopping volume.In this paper,based on the non-hydrostatic wave model SWASH,wave overtopping on breakwaters with Accropode layer is investigated.The main research contents and results are as follows:To simulate wave overtopping on armored rubble breakwater,three methods of describing the breakwater are proposed.The overtopping of regular wave is simulated using above methods,the results show that the combination of topography and equivalent bottom friction can well simulate the wave overtopping on the breakwater.The irregular wave overtopping simulation further proves the feasibility of this method.Compared with the physical model test results,it is shown that the equivalent bottom friction coefficient can simulate the wave height changes before and after the breakwater.In order to establish the empirical formula of equivalent bottom friction coefficient of breakwaters with Accropode layer,a large number of cases were designed to calibrate equivalent base friction coefficient.After comparison,the average value of the overtopping volume calculated by the neural network and the empirical formula of Chen Guoping was used as the calibration standard.The relationship between the nondimensional bottom friction coefficient and the wave height,period,embankment elevation and water depth is discussed.Empirical relationship between bottom friction coefficient of Accropode layer and deep-sea wave steepness is established.The reliability of the empirical formula for bottom friction coefficient empirical formula established in this paper is validated by the physical model test results of breakwater with and without breast wall.The wave overtopping on breakwaters with Accropode layer at different wave incident angles are simulated.The relationship between the mean overtopping volume of the breakwater and the wave incident angles is summarized,and the distribution of the overtopping volume on the breakwaters is also discussed.
