During the high running speed of the electric multiple unit trains in winter,a large number of icing and snowing occur in the chassis, which adversely affects the life of the vehicle and the actual operation. The icing phenomenon can also cause safety problems such as failure of the bogie.Adopting a new type of enclosure high temperature hot air deicing technology, hot air is blown to the chassis of the electric multiple unit train to melt the frozen ice thereon, and at the same time solving the problems of excessive temperature in the rest of the garage and saving energy. The method of numerical simulation and real train experiment can effectively guide the design of high temperature hot air deicing in enclosure wall. The goal is to ensure that the ice melted within one hour and a reasonable design of the wind speed and temperature in order to save energy. With the development of technology, the numerical method has become a research tools which is equally important with the experiment.Because of the idealized mathematical model and calculation error,it needs to be validated by experiments in practical applications.Based on the experiment of real train,a three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics physics model of the bogie area was established to validate the winter ice melting experiment of the calculation model. The numerical simulation was used to calculate the air flow in the baffle enclosed space, and in the calculation of air and ice body coupled heat transfer and phase change melting problem.Comparison between calculation and verification shows that the error of air velocity is less than 25% at most measurement points and the error of melting time is within 20%.The ice melting effect of various heating schemes under the condition of the enclosed enclosure melting ice snow removing system was analyzed by a validated numerical model. The influence of the air velocity and the temperature on the heat transfer was analyzed. The computational simulation effectively quantifies the heat transfer and energy consumption under different conditions and has strong reference in engineering.
