As Hemingway put it,"Looking back on my past,I was amazed that I was a foreigner who went to all kinds of cafes." Literatures need a cup of coffee with just the right temperature and taste,and a quiet and comfortable space like home.They can chant,write and entertain their time here.It can be seen that coffee shop was a favorite place for literati and elegant guests long ago.From the first cafe in Arabia in the 15 th century,to the rapid spread of coffee to European countries,to the first coffee in China,it has a history of about a thousand years.Throughout the history of coffee development,coffee culture has accumulated profound cultural connotations in the long history.And the change of three coffee waves makes its connotation more abundant.The rise of these three coffee waves also reflects the improvement of people’s quality of life and their spiritual demands under the rapid economic development.Of course,the space design of cafes in different areas is quite different because of the differences of regional culture,consumer groups and urban environment.Firstly,based on the development of three coffee waves,this paper will analyze the similarities and differences of space design of cafes under these three coffee waves in detail.By comparing the exterior and interior,the historical and synchronic,i.e.vertical and horizontal,this paper explores the cultural characteristics under the three generations of coffee wave,and the important factors affecting the design of coffee shops under such cultural characteristics.It also explores and summarizes from the natural,humanistic,design,technology and other dimensions.In the process of discussion,qualitative analysis and interdisciplinary research are used to demonstrate.From the consumer culture,business philosophy,regional culture,interior design function organization,layout,style,furniture selection,furnishings and atmosphere building to summarize and refine.Get the third generation of coffee wave under the coffee shop interior design not only reflects the humanistic regionalism,but also allows consumers to have a sense of belonging of the multi-dimensional "third space" design.The last part of the paper is the practice of coffee shop space design in several stages,and the last part is a summary of my own artistic practice and papers.
