In recent years,streets have become a hot spot in urban research.Exploration and practice of urban street design have been carried out at home and abroad,and the trend of strengthening urban street design has been shown.Urban street design has obviously gradually become a major part of urban design.Under the call of rational and refined urban design,it is more and more necessary for quantitative urban space tools to participate in urban space design.As a quantitative tool of urban space,spatial syntactic axes analysis has been frequently used in large-scale urban design.It has a certain significance in the rational urban construction nowadays.Spatial syntactic axes analysis method can be used to evaluate urban streets based on the structure of urban road network.At present,it has less application in urban street design.Axis analysis method has certain potential in the field of urban street design.Through in-depth study of axle analysis method and related application cases,the author analyzed the application potential of axle analysis method in urban street design,and found its shortcomings in assisting urban street design: the roughness of axle model in assisting urban street design and the one-sidedness of segment model in assisting urban street design.In view of its shortcomings,the author proposed to improve and innovate the travel half.The path superposition method makes it more precise,more practical and more effective in assisting urban street design,thus assisting rational and shrewd urban street space construction.Travel radius superposition method is a graph superposition analysis method based on the segment model analysis of urban travel structure of residents.This method will classify and refine the travel behavior of residents and forecast their travel rules and space demand respectively,and integrate the forecast results by superposition method according to the weight of travel proportion.It is a more precise and practical quantitative analysis method,which can assist urban street design more accurately and effectively.This paper illustrates the feasibility and specific operation of the travel radius superposition method,and analyses the applicable syntactic variables of this method.Then,combining this method with the renovation of the old city street space in Suixian,Shangqiu,the evaluation of the commonality of Suixian street space based on the integration analysis of travel radius superposition method is carried out,and the corresponding renovation of street space is carried out under the guidance of the results of the evaluation of the commonality of the street.Thus,the importance of the method of travel radius superposition for urban street design is proved again by an example.
