With the rapid increase of urban car ownership in China,urban traffic congestion has become increasingly serious,and the intersection is the core and focus of urban traffic congestion rectification.Optimizing signal control at intersections is one of the important measures to alleviate traffic congestion at intersections.The traditional intersection signal control method seldom considers the randomness of intersection traffic,resulting in a large gap between the actual effect of the signal control scheme and the expected goal.For this reason,the reliability index into the signal control of the intersection is introduced in this thesis,which proposes a signal control method based on the reliability.Based on the measured data of two intersections in Changsha,the thesis fits the randomness of the traffic arrival at the entrance approach,and carries out parameter estimation and distribution hypothesis for normal distribution,lognormal distribution,exponential distribution and wakeby distribution respectively test.The research conclusions show that the wakeby distribution is more universal in describing the random distribution of traffic arrivals at signal control intersections.In order to meet the needs of different control objectives,this thesis analyzes the reliability index of intersections and puts forward the reliability index of service level and queue length.Based on the random arrival distribution of traffic at the entrance of the intersection,the thesis establishes a signal control method for isolated intersections based on service level reliability and queue length reliability.The calculation model of intersection duration and green time can be obtained under various different arrival distributions.The thesis carries out simulation analysis on signal control method of isolated intersections considering reliability,and examines the effects of different distribution models,reliability requirements,and the degree of fluctuation of arriving traffic on the timing of the different reliability indices.The research results show that as the reliability of the service level increases,the cycle duration and the green time increase,but as the reliability of the queue length increases,the cycle duration and the green time decrease.Based on the research of signal control method for isolated intersections considering reliability,this thesis introduces the queue length reliability to the main intersection and establishes a phase difference optimization model that aims at the maximum reliability of trunk queue length.A multi-population genetic algorithm for solving the model is designed.In this thesis,a simulation analysis is carried out for the trunk line coordination signal control method considering the queue length reliability,and the reliability of one trunk line under three intersections is examined.The results show that under this control scheme,the operational status of the urban transportation system is improved and the degree of dispersion is significantly reduced.Therefore,the research results of this thesis have broad application prospects,can improve the level of urban road traffic management in China,and promote the development of related industries in the field of intelligent transportation.have a positive significance to reduce intersection delays,equalize the distribution of road network traffic flow,reduce vehicle emissions,reduce the level of urban traffic pollution,etc.,can have significant social benefits.
