In early spring and winter,the seriously snowy,iced or frosty rigid pavement always causing disasters,such as making running vehicles losing control.As there is an increasing number of traffic accidents like that not only seriously obstruct traffic,but threaten the security of people’s lives and fortune as well,results in great loss in our nation and society,the issue must be addressed.The phase change material has the feature of storing and releasing the latent heat during the phase change procedure without changing the temperature.In this way,if the phase change material is employed to address the problem raised above,the snow and ice on surface of rigid pavement may get melted.In this article,physical melt blending method is applied to make phase change material with different mass ratio of decanoic acid to n-caprylic acid.Analytical cooling curve tests and DSC curve tests were taken only to prove mass ratio of decanoic acid to n-caprylic acid 33:67 made the most efficiency composite phase change material.The phase change temperature and latent heat of the material was 2.16℃ and 121.9J/g,respectively.After 400 times’ phase transition cycle,the property of phase transition tend to be stabled.The phase change expanded perlite was prepared by vacuuming composite phase change material of decanoic acid and n-caprylic acid with expanded perlite,the carrier material.After doing that,cement paste encapsulated phase change expanded perlite to prepare phase change energy storage aggregate.The phase change temperature of phase change expanded perlite was 2.3℃,and both have phase transition energy storage effects.In the preparation of phase change expanded perlite concrete,rough aggregate in common concrete was replaced by phase change energy storage aggregate.With a growing increase in the percent of phase change energy storage aggregate,the basic mechanical property of phase change expanded perlite concrete,such as anti-press strength and flexible strength,as well as density and thermal conductivity kept decreasing.In addition,composite phase change material of decanoic acid and n-caprylic acid efficiently lowered the basic mechanical property of phase change expanded perlite concrete,while none of concrete’s density,thermal conductivity as well as frost resistance was influenced.When the concrete contained 30 percent of phase change expanded perlite,which indicated that phase change expanded perlite concrete could storage energy.
