License Plate Recognition Based On MATLAB

The license plate recognition system is one of the important components of modern intelligent traffic management.The license plate recognition system makes the vehicle management more intelligent and digital,effectively improving the convenience and effectiveness of traffic management.The license plate recognition system mainly includes five core parts:image acquisition,image preprocessing,license plate positioning,character segmentation and character recognition.Character recognition is the most important part of the entire license plate recognition process.Highways are the artery of economic development.Accelerating the construction of a rural road network has a very important strategic significance for promoting regional economic development,improving the living standards of farmers,and improving rural consumption.With the formation of national highways,provincial highways,and municipal roads,the importance and necessity of the construction of rural roads has become increasingly prominent.Rural roads,such as the Dazhong Highway linking the provincial and provincial roads of the national highway,extend to rural villages and are the basic part of the highway network.They are the infrastructure that directly serves the countryside and benefits the farmers,and are the key link for the formation of the highway economy.Graduation design first carried out in-depth research on the existing technology of license plate recognition system.On this basis,the license plate recognition system based on MATLAB was developed in combination with the needs of rural roads.The image processing of various vehicles was analyzed and compared,which effectively improved the safety and controllability of rural roads.
