With the continuous improvement of China's infrastructure such as roads and bridges,China's road freight industry has developed rapidly and its basic role has become increasingly prominent. It has made great contributions to support the stable and rapid economic and social development.Although trucks have made great contributions to the development of the country, their operational safety, especially braking safety, has become increasingly prominent.Traffic accidents frequently occur due to thermal degradation of braking performance and mismatched braking performance of a car train. The traffic accidents seriously endanger the safety of life and property of the country and people.Only good performance braking system, reliable,in order to give full play to the other vehicle performance. The braking performance of an automobile is an important indicator of vehicle safety. How to set braking system parameters to match the entire vehicle for optimal braking performance is a very important task. This article focuses on the structural analysis and optimization of the automotive braking system, and analyzes and studies the braking performance of the truck.Research on the braking system of trucks(heavy vehicles)can provide theoretical basis and practical reference for safe driving of heavy vehicles.According to the design requirements, taking a certain truck model as an example, the calculation and analysis of the braking force distribution coefficient, the utilization ratio of the braking intensity and the adhesion coefficient, and the maximum braking torque of the brake were performed, and the design requirements that meet the national standards were adopted. The layout of the pneumatic piping was designed;the main structural data of the brake air pressure element, brake valve and brake were designed and calculated, and related inspections were conducted. The design of the braking system and the detailed design description of each part, the exploration and practice of the engineering design method, met the requirements of the design task. Then braking expert software for braking performance analysis was used. The vehicle braking system was simulated and demonstrated through the actual vehicle model. The changes of speed, deceleration, braking distance and brake force during the braking process were investigated to determine the braking performance.finally, the performance of the braking system was analyzed and the simulation was successful, and the braking performance tends to be ideal. In this paper, the expected effect of the development and design of a truck braking system,as well as the combination of simulation system and sample vehicle test, could be used as reference for the design and development personnel.
