Electric system is critical infrastructure concerning all aspects of social life in modern society.Ensuring normal operation for electric system is important for maintaining normal social order.Substation is the hub of electric system and the key of electricity transmission and distribution.In order to ensure normal operation for substation,regular substation inspection for eliminating hidden dangers is essential.Currently substation inspection mainly adopts manual inspection,which is inefficient and unreliable.Automated substation can monitor equipment status in real time,but automatic transformation of substation is expensive.Thus use substation inspection robot,whose core is image processing system for inspection,to inspect the substation,which is cheap and effective.In order to solve the limit of existing image processing system for inspection,this research proposes and develops configurable image processing system for inspection,which is applicable for different substations.This system can assist rail-type substation inspection robot to inspect the substation and monitor equipment status by image processing,improving efficiency of inspection.The main content of this paper is as follows:(1)Based on actual substation environment,propose main procedure of substation image processing and the structure design of configurable image processing system for inspection.Develop software for the system based on graphical interface,which can save and manage the configuration of substation equipment.This software can assist the system to monitor equipment status by image processing,and this software is applicable for different substations through flexible parameter configuration.(2)Considering complicated substation environment,especially complicated illumination,analyze crucial image processing algorithms,including distortion correction algorithm,image enhancement algorithm and threshold algorithm.Based on the feature of substation image,propose image processing algorithm which is applicable for substation environment,and propose the procedure of substation image processing for main substation unit type,which can process substation image in complicated substation environment and monitor equipment status.(3)Analyze main software function of configurable image processing system for inspection,and analyze actual result of the software when used in substation inspection through experiment.The analysis validates the validity and configurability of this system,and actual image processing result when used in substation inspection.
