Automotive lightweight research to meet customer demand and energy conservation are of great significance and Automobile lightweight has become one of the hottest areas of the automotive industry research.Heavy-duty vehicle lightweight technology mainly by the lightweight materials and structural optimization of the two major components.The drive axle housing is an important part of the automobile,and it is also an important object in the research of the lightweight vehicle.Therefore,the main content of this paper is to study the lightweight of the drive axle housing of the heavy-duty truck,and optimize the axle housing.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.This paper introduces the basis of this thesis,the background and the main content of the research.It introduces the current situation of domestic and international research on lightweight and the significance of the research and elaborates the research ideas and content arrangement of this paper.2.To introduce the theory and basic principles of robust optimization design,robust optimization design method of presentation,introducing the concepts of six sigma robust optimization design and the method of six sigma robust optimization design.3.This paper introduces the modeling method of parameterized finite element model of drive axle housing and the method of establishing the parameterization model of drive axle housing,The method of automatic generation of finite element mesh of drive axle housing is described,The software integration of parametric finite element modeling is introduced,The concrete realization process of parametric finite element modeling of drive axle housing is introduced in detail.4.The finite element analysis of the drive axle housing,the method of the experimental design,the basic theory of the response surface analysis method and the corresponding error analysis method are introduced.The response surface model of the quality and stress of the drive axle housing is established,establishing deterministic optimization mathematical model and six sigma robust optimization model.The deterministic optimization and six sigma robust optimization are respectively performed on the mathematical model.The deterministic optimization solution and the six sigma robust optimization solution are analyzed and validated.In this paper,the six sigma robust optimization design method is of great significance and practical value for the research on the lightweight of the drive axle housing of the heavy duty truck.
