With the steady developm ent of China's macro economy and the upgrading of consumption, cars are rapidly entering the fa mily.Especially after entering the year 2000,the national automobile sales exceeded 2 million vehicles, and a total of 2.09 million vehicles were sold.During the 10 years from 2001 to 2010,China's automobile market maintained an average ann ual growth rate of 24%,and the sales volume increased from 2.37 million to 18.06 million vehicles, and surpassed the United States in 2009 to become the world's largest automobile market. At present, the growth rate of China's automobile sales has slowed down, but it has maintained its leading position in the world for nine consecutive years. In 2017,China sold a total of the num ber of vehicles was 28.879 million,an increase of 3.0% year-on-year.At the same time,as of the end of 2017,the number of car ownership has reached 217 million, and continues to show growth. The continuous growth of car ownership poses a serious challenge to oil supply and environm ental protection. Therefore,China has form ulated a comprehensive fuel consum ption regulation and em ission regulation system, and implemented the regulations in a shorter tim e process than countries such as Europe and the United States. With the gradual tightening of China's automobile fuel consumption regulations and emission regulations, the R&D and application cycle of ener gy-saving and environmental protection t echnologies has been shor tened, and the pace of technological upgrading has accelerated significantly, which has led to an increase in corporate costs. At present, the res earch on the com bination of technology and economic cost is relatively rare. This thesis starts from the theory and practice, explores the logical relationship between th e two,an d provides the basis for the sc ientific decision-making of the government and enterprises. This thesis first expounds the developm ent background of engine ener gy-saving emission reduction, research status at hom e and abroad, summarizes the theoretical basis of technical econom ics theory, environmental economics theory and life cy cle assessment theory, and defines the econom ic analysis scope of engine ener gy-saving emission reduction technology.Secondly, from the perspective of the whole life cycle theory, the logical relationship between engine emission reduction technology and cost is established, and the cost increase caused by engine em ission reduction technology is quantitatively analyzed. The cubic polynom ial is chosen as the analytical tool to fit the logical relationship between the abatement costs and emission reductions of various engine models. In this study, the engine is divided in to small displacement engines, medium displacement engines and large displacement engines. The amount of emissions directly affects the data results. The study found that from the perspective of absolute value of emission reduction, the emission reduction technology of large displacement engines is give priority to the direction of development.Thirdly, combined with the actual situation of China's engine manufacturers, from the two possibilities of numerical emission reduction targets and percentage reduction targets,as well as the two possibilitie s of determining emissions and enterprise collection packages,a total of four combined models were studied and finally obtained.A research framework that f acilitates the definition of research and improves th e accuracy of research results was built. Finally, the thesis analyzes the impact of enterprise cost, purchaser cost and social cost on emission reduction technology, and studies their advantages and disadvantages through various combination modes.Through research,it is found that buyers are more sensitive to mileage, and the longer the m ileage is,the more sens itive they are to emission reduction technologies. For social costs, the application of emission reduction technologies is m ore economical than th e purchase of carbon dioxide quotas from outside.
