As the whole electrical industry develops forwardly,vacuum contactors are more advantageous than air contactors,and they gradually replace the latter.Contactors are used widely in docks,drilling platforms,plants,transformer substations,factories and mines and so on.appliances.Electromagnetic mechanism is the most important part that could influence vacuum contactor doing closing and opening processes.Also,the speed of opening and closing are very imporant parameters to the mechanical characteristic of a contactor.This article uses the CVX325 vacuum contactor-fuse combination appliance as the model,analyses its opening and closing processes,and validate the models by mathematical calculation.Also,building 3D models with the modeling software---SOLIDWORKS,and doing the dynamic and static simulations by the finite element simulation software---ANSYS.Then,analysis is done soon afterwards.This article's main work displays as following:(1)Using rigid rotation principle,kinetic energy theory,angular momentum balance theory and moment balance theory by combining the structure and size of the actual appliance and the electrical parameters of the spare parts to establish and analyse mathematical model of closing and opening process.Verification of the theoretical model is done as well.(2)Drawing contactor models of important parts by measuring appliance's appearance and size,then installing and combining them so that the whole model of the main structure could be presented.(3)Importing the three-dimensional model of the electromagnetic mechanism into the finite element simulation software and setting the material,boundary condition,excitation source,air domain,mesh generation,movement region and so on.At the same time,studying its characteristics of dynamic and static.(4)In the light of the actual problems which come out during debugging,it is a feasible plan that adjusting the controlling circuit and exchanging direction of the poles.By these measures,effects could be achieved that not only the offset in magnetic circuit disappears,but also the influence of the remanence could be solved,mechanical characteristic is improved as well.(5)Assembling the actual appliance,conducting a series of tests according to the plans which have been adjusted before.
