Based on the previous research,the supporting performance of square cross section and circular cross section concrete filled steel tube support had been studied in this paper.By theoretical calculation and the analysis of numerical simulation software,this paper compared and analyzed the destabilization characteristics of steel tube concrete supports,at the same time,compared and analyzed load bearing characteristics and surrounding rock control effect of different cross section concrete filled steel tube supports during operation.It is important to provide theoretical basis for difficult to support and protect roadways.In this paper,the different forms of destruction in support process and the key factors influencing the bearing performance of support were summarized.this paper used ANSYS simulation software to establish the short column finite element model with concrete tube with Square and circular sections,and study its Stable bearing capacity under vertical displacement,and comparison of the difference of bearing capacity between the two types of short columns with different factors such as steel tube thickNess,concrete strength,length and thickNess ratio.At the same time,a mechanical model was established to analyze the variation of bending stress and bending deformation of concrete filled steel tube scaffold under uniform load.On this basis,the effect of the square section concrete filled steel tube support and the circular cross section concrete filled steel tube scaffold on the surrounding rock is compared and analyzed by the FLAC3 D software.The research shows that the circular section concrete-filled steel tube support has stronger ability to bear the axial load of roadway,and it is better than the square section support in restricting the deformation of surrounding rock,and the bearing capacity and surrounding rock control effect have been improved.
