| With increasingly growing awareness of environmental protection and unprecedented huge energy pressure,clean and renewable energy is getting more and more attention.Compared with the mature wind energy technology,developing tidal energy is becoming an optional object.At present,the tidal energy technology in China is mainly in the transformation stage.Further study of turbine is significantly important for realizing strategic plan of our country.Abundant domestic tidal resources are concentrated on coast of China,providing sufficient experimental bases for research institutions.Most horizontal axis turbines developed in China are lifting turbines,and there are few researches on similar Tocardo turbines.Tocardo turbine is the energy conversion mechanism of Aqua Offshore,a horizontal axis tidal current generation equipment jointly developed by company of Tocardo and TeamworkTechnology BV.In this paper,the hydrodynamic perfomance of this turbine is analyzed by means of analytical and numerical simulation commissioned by CN Gpower Gearbox Co.,Ltd.Considering the difference of Geometry between Tocardo turbine and lifttype turbine,the BEM theory of the non-lift-type turbine,non-lift method,is put forward in this paper based on the BEM theory of lift-type turbine.In order to better study the performance of Tocardo turbine,in the same working condition,this paper uses BEM theory to design a lifttype turbine as a comparison that analyzing working characteristics of Tocardo turbine.Next,the non-lift method is used to evaluate the working characteristics of the Tocardo turbine,and the root and tip of blade are modified by using the Prandtl correction theory.Finally,the reliability of the non-lift method is verified by CFD results,which verifies the accuracy of BEM theory calculation.BEM theory and CFD method are used to comprehensively evaluate hydrodynamic performance of Tocardo turbine,and the conclusion is that Tocardo turbine is a non-lift-type turbine.The BEM analysis method of traditional lift-type turbine needs to be modified before it can analyze the non-lift-type turbine. |
