Batter piles have been increasing widely used in practice such as bridges,docks,the foundation of electric transmission line in recent years because of its superior axial compressive capacity?uplift capacity and horizontal bearing capacity.the batter pile foundation is subjected to vertical load,and it is often affected by the horizontal load caused by wave,wind and ship,so the inclined pile is usually in the working state of both vertical load and horizontal load.In the present design of pile foundation,the vertical and horizontal loads are generally considered separately,without considering the interaction between the vertical load and the horizontal load,it is obviously not reasonable to reflect the actual working behavior of the oblique pile,so it is of great practical significance to carry out the research area of the bearing deformation behavior of oblique pile under the joint action of vertical load and horizontal load.In paper,the bearing and deformation behavior of oblique piles in sandy soil under the action of uplift load and horizontal load is studied by model Test firstly.The results show that the uplift load will increase the horizontal bearing capacity of the positive oblique pile and reduce the horizontal bearing capacity of the negative oblique pile,and the horizontal bearing capacity of the positive oblique pile under the same uplift load is greater than the negative oblique pile.With the increase of the uplift load,the maximum bending moment of the pile is decreased,and the maximum bending moment of the negative inclined pile increases with the increase of the uplift load.The bending moment of negative inclined pile is greater than that of positive oblique pile;The larger the axial force of the same section of the positive and negative oblique pile,the greater the average frictional resistance at the same section of the pile side.Then,the numerical method is used to analyze the bearing characteristics of the batter pile under the lower compressive load and the horizontal load.The results show that the Lower compressive load reduces horizontal bearing capacity of positive oblique pile and raises horizontal bearing capacity of negative oblique pile.The greater the bending moment of the same section of the inclined pile,the bigger the pressure load,while the bending moment of negative oblique pile is smaller than that of negative oblique pile when there is no lower compressive load,but with the increase of lower compressive load,the bending moment of positive inclined pile is larger than that of negative oblique pile.The frictional resistance of the pile side of the inclined pile increases with the increase of the lower compressive load,and the lateral frictional resistance of the negative oblique pile decreases with the increase of the lower compressive load.In addition,the influence of the lower compressive load on the displacement of the pile and the contact pressure of pile and soil is different from the negative oblique pile.
