The China Sleep Index Report reports that more and more people are suffering from insomnia.According to the data,the continuous insomnia which lasts more than 3 months can develop into chronic insomnia and even cause the other diseases.At present,there are two ways for insomnia assessment: the subjective method and the objective method.The subjective method is to evaluate insomnia by the sleep diary,the sleep tests and so on,the objective method is to evaluate insomnia by the actigraphy,polysomnography(PSG)and so on.Combining the advantages of subjective and objective assessment methods,a wearable insomnia management system based on actigraphy was designed in this paper.This system is designed for the convenience of insomnia patients in the home long-term monitoring of sleep,and then to accomplish the evaluation of insomnia and the evaluation of the effect of insomnia treatment.This system consists of two parts: the slave computer and the host computer.The slave computer used the MSP430f1232 microcontroller and the ADXL362 acceleration sensor chip to collect the body activity data in the process of sleep,and then upload it to Android mobile device via bluetooth BT05.The host computer based on the Android platform contains the subjective functional module of evaluating insomnia,the objective functional module of evaluating insomnia and the auxiliary function module of improving insomnia.Moreover,the subjective module of evaluating insomnia includes sleep diary,sleep archives and sleep tests.Therefore theses subjective tools are helpful for doctors to find out the causes of insomnia and evaluate the effect of insomnia treatment.Besides,the objective functional module of evaluating insomnia is to perform algorithm processing on body activity data which are collected by actigraphy,and calculate sleep parameters such as the numbers of awakening time over 5 minutes,sleep latency,total sleep time and so on,which can be used to objectively assess insomnia symptoms.Moreover,the software automatically compares the current and previous period of sleep report,and then make a qualitative assessment of sleep trend during this period.And the auxiliary function module of improving insomnia mainly includes sleep music,sleep education,comprehensive report,contacting with doctors and sharing friends and other functions.After functional test and non-functional test,the system was tested at the Sleep & Psychology Department of Daping Hospital of Army Medical University.Using SPSS software to analyze the results,it is preliminarily verified that there is no significant difference in the parameters related to insomnia evaluated by between the system and the PSG.By combining subjective and objective evaluation methods,this system not only solves contradictory insomnia,but also overcomes PSG's "first-night reaction".In addition,it can help patients improve sleep quality,which is suitable for insomnia patients to manage sleep dynamically at home for a long time.It has a practical use in insomnia.
