In recent years,the development of computer technology put forward the improvement of precision guided weapons.It increases the risk of ships subjected to underwater contact explosion.In order to deal with the weapon attract,it is particularly important to improve the protective performance of ships.This work will not only improve the performance of the fleet of integrated operational capability,also the vitality of the ship.Therefore,it has become the consensus of all countries that innovate and develop new type of ship protective structure.The numerical simulation method to study the ship side protective structure subjected to underwater contact explosion was studied in this paper.Based on the characteristics of underwater explosion load,the local failure damage of multi-layer protective structure with composite material under explosions were analyzed.The different structure parameters were discussed to investigate the anti-explosion performance.Specific contents are as following:(1)The ALE fluid-structure interaction numerical algorithm of LS-DYNA were adopted to analyze the damage of multi-layer protective structure under contact explosions.A numerical calculation method to simulate the dynamic response of three cabin structure under explosions was proposed,including the fluid-structure interaction interface.The numerical results were validated by comparing with the results of test and theoretical.The plastic area of steel plate,stress time history curve of dynamic parameters were obtained.(2)To study the anti-explosion performance of composite ship protective structure,a steel–ceramics–steel sandwich plate structure(SPS)finite element model was established.The dynamic response of SPS multi-layer protective structure under underwater contact explosion were studied including the crevasse size,damage deformation,stress,displacement and structure energy absorption.By compared with the traditional protect structure,it is revealed that anti-explosion performance of the composite protective structure is better than the traditional steel protective structure.(3)Considering the lightweight technology,the anti-explosion performance of the metal/ceramic,ceramic/metal and SPS protective structure were compared as the protective bulkhead structure.It is found that the ceramic material as the panel facing explosions have better anti-explosion performance.The influence of surface density,thickness of ceramic/metal composite protective structure were analyzed to discuss the anti-explosion performance.(4)In order to evaluate damage characteristics of the composite laminated plate under explosions,a multi-layer protective structure model with an empty tank,liquid tank and empty tank was proposed.The anti-explosion performance was improved by some ways as changing the distance of cabins,setting the scientific distance distribute between cabins and optimizing the protective structure type.The influence of positions of composite laminated plate were studied on the anti-explosion performance.The influence of structure parameters on response of the protection structure were discussed to find a lightweight anti-explosion structure for ship protection.
