A key water control project whose height of dam is 131m,the total reservoir capacity is1038 million m3 in Tibet,give priority to irrigation,water supply,combined with the power,and create conditions to improve the ecological environment,are of great help to solve the problem of the people's livelihood.It's obvious to take a grave view of the anti-slip stability of the dam because of the complex engineering geological conditions,two regional faults,shunt fault,deveplped fault and joint at this area.Therefore,it is necessary to study the stability of the dam.Based on the reservoir dam foundation rock mass as the research object and inv-estigated the dam site area of the engineering geological conditions.The main conclusi ons as follows:1.Through field investigation and data consolidation,the development characterist ics of the structural surface of the dam site are summarized,and the structural surface of the development of the dam site was divided into I,II,III,IV and V.2.Based on the on-site survey,the current specifications,and the indicators of P-wave velocity of the rock body,RQD value of the core quality index,and rock mass characteristicsthe,weathering zone of the dam site is divided into the following categ ories:Strong weathering zone and weak weathering zone.3.The rock mass in the dam site is characterized by the characteristics of rock mass,longitudinal wave velocity of the rock body,groundwater state,weathering degre e,rock body integrity coefficient Kv,joint development characteristics,rock uniaxial c ompressive strength,and core quality index RQD,the dam rock mass is divided into III1,III2,IV,V.4.The deformation and failure modes of the dam foundation can be analyzed by the dike axis section and the typical transverse section.,the results show that the defo rmation of dam foundation may damage model for along the slip surface,using rigid body limit equilibrium method for dam foundation stability against sliding analysis and calculation,it is concluded that under normal water condition,dam foundation is stab le and safe,under the working condition of the earthquake,dam foundation is stable but not safe.5.The FLAC3D numerical software was used to analyze the stress field,displac ement field and plastic zone map of the four typical profiles under normal water stora ge conditions,and analyze their deformation and stability characteristics.The results of the analysis show that the four typical profiles are stable under normal storage condit ions,indicating that the overall dam is stable.
