With the continuous development and progress of society,people are pursuing and yearning for new living environment,office environment and learning environment,especially increasingly yearning for buildings of large space.For old masonry buildings,their width and depth are often relatively small,it is difficult to meet people's requirements for building space,hence it is necessary to have them strengthened and retrofitted.Underpinning is a technology to achieve this goal.There are,however many techniques in underpinning,such as underpinning with single beam,double girders,and steel-masonry composite structure.Because these traditional underpinning technology has the disadvantages of low clear height,being unsightly and poor bearing capacity,this paper puts forth a composite wall beam.Due to its unique advantages,it is of theoretical and practical significance to carry out the investigation into such a beam wall.In this paper,the structure of composite wall beam under loads were simulated by the finite element software ABAQUS,and results were analyzed.The influence of the strength of concrete,the size of the channel steel,and the installment of the strengthening walls on the vertical displacement as well as the stresses of the composite wall beam were investigated,with the influential rules obtained.The stress and vertical displacement of the composite wall beam during construction were also analyzed and their variational rules were obtained as well.According to the results of the calculation of the stress and displacement nephograms,within a certain range,with the increase in the concrete strength of strengthening walls,both the vertical displacement and stresses of the composite wall beam reduce gradually,but when the the strength of concrete increases to a certain stage,its effect is no longer significant;the increase in the size of the channel steel has little influence on the vertical displacement and stresses of the composite wall beam;the installation of strengthening concrete walls can considerably affect the the vertical displacement and stresses of the composite wall beam;the change rules of displacement and stresses during construction were also achieved,it shows that the upper parts of masonry wall and strengthening concrete wall are in compression while their lower part are in tension;finally the construction procedures of the composite wall were standardized,with the design detailing put forth influence on the disturbance of the compositewall beam.the stress variation regular of the composite wall beam in the construction process is obtained,the upper brick wall and the upper plywood walls are compressed,the lower channel steel and the wall of plywood walls are pulled.Finally,the concrete construction measures are put forward in the construction process of the composite wall beam.
