With the formulation of the strategic goal of “Strong China for Traffic”,China's highway construction has prospered.At the same time,however,road safety issues have also become increasingly prominent.As a basic part of the highway project,the geometric line shape will directly affect the safety of traffic.The author found in the practical experience of many years of route design work,in the engineering practice,the highway geometry linear design indicators that meet the specification requirements may not be able to ensure good traffic safety.Therefore,it is urgent to establish a scientific highway geometric linear safety assessment model.The model can not only check the geometrical shape of the highway in real time during the design stage,but also can carry out safety inspection on the designed highway,which is conducive to ensuring road safety and improving traffic safety.Firstly,the paper analyzes the mechanism of highway traffic accidents and the elements of highway traffic system,and analyzes the relationship between the geometric shape of highway and the safe operation of roads from the aspects of plane linear shape,profile vertical line shape,flat vertical line shape combination and line-of-sight.Secondly,based on the above analysis,six indicators including velocity continuity index,curve equilibrium index,spatial linear continuity index,line-of-sight index,lateral acceleration evaluation index,and curve density index are selected,and the geometric linear safety of roads is measured through analysis and establishment.The three-tier comprehensive evaluation index system.Then using AHP method to determine the weight of the index system,and with the aid of the linear security index ASI to more intuitively express the safety of the route plan,so as to establish a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model of the route program.Finally,through the results of this research,the author analyzed and evaluated the geometrical safety of a highway on a first class highway that was involved in the design in recent years,and verified the rationality and feasibility of the model.This paper discusses the evaluation method of road geometry and linear safety.The evaluation method can be applied to the inspection and comparison of the design of the stage of the design.It can also be used to evaluate the safe operation of the highway during operation.It can find defects in the geometry of the highway and take corresponding measures.Improvements.
