BMUs are high-altitude machines that are specially used for the installation,cleaning and maintenance of the external walls of high-rise buildings.In order to adapt to the appearance of different buildings,BMUs can only be designed as non-standard products.The traditional design method of BMUs has a long design cycle and low precision.In order to meet the market demand for the BMUs,a new design scheme needs to be studied.This project aims to develop a parametric design system for an independent retractable BMU.The main tasks are as follows:The calculation methods of the length of the Arms,cross-sectional dimension and the counterweight and balance arm of an independent retractable BMU are studied,and the calculation provides the theoretical basis for the design process of the parametric design system.The components of an independent retractable BMU are classified and the specifications of each component are statistically regulated and standardized,and the three-dimensional model library and database of the components are established.the size of the three-dimensional model is modified by using the database query technology and parameterization technology to achieve the function of automatic drawing three-dimensional model.A corresponding engineering drawing for the 3D model is created and the automatic adjustment technology of the engineering drawing is studied.Because of the characteristics that the engineering drawing is associated with the three-dimensional model,the vews of engineering drawings will change accordingly when the three-dimensional model is driven.The proportions,dimension annotations,and annotations of the engineering drawings will be adjusted to realize the function of automatically generating the engineering drawings.The system interface and program preparation are completed by using Visual Studio as the development tool and using VB as the program language.After the user inputs the design requirements in the system interface,the system will automatically design a reasonable plan,and then realize the parametric drawing of the three-dimensional model and the rapid generation of the engineering drawing in SolidWorks.The development of a parametric design system for independent retractable BMUs has greatly shortened the product design cycle and improved the design accuracy,and has a good prospect for development.
