Environment and resource have been paid more and more attention,so the importance of green construction becomes more and more prominent. In recent years, with the development of construction informatization,Building Information Modeling(BIM)technology and Internet of Things(IoT)technology have been widely concerned by the construction industry. The integration of BIM and IoT provides the possibility to solve green construction related problems. The integration of BIM and IoT involves the fusion and analysis of multiple data types in green construction. With the in-depth study of ontology theory and context-aware theory in recent years, the contextual information can be fully utilized. An integrated system framework based on ontology and context-aware theory can integrate the contextual information obtained by BIM and IoT and provide intelligent service. So the issues about how to organize the contextual information in building information model and IoT data, realize the context inference, and provide service support become the focus of this research. The research conducted in this paper mainly includes the following four aspects:(1)By reading a large amount of literature, the related theories and standards of BIM technology and IoT technology are studied and summarized, and researches on ontology theory and context-aware theory.(2)By analyzing and summarizing the application characteristics of BIM and IoT,the related clauses in the Code for green construction of building(GB/T50905-2014)that can be supported by BIM and IoT integration are analyzed. The feasibility of BIM and IoT integration for green construction is further demonstrated.(3)A framework of BIM and IoT integration system based on ontology is proposed. The proposed framework consists of four layers,i.e.,data collection layer, context inference layer, data integration layer and application layer.(4)According to the proposed framework of integrated system,an intelligent construction prototype system is developed. The implementation procedure includes: using Prot é g é software to build the ontology model of the Code for green construction of building;defining rules by SWRL and using Jena rule inference engine to infer ontology context obtained by data collection layer;using MySQL to store ontology and rules;integrating and displaying BIM model information and IoT information based on BIMFACE software platform;finally, the proposed integrated system framework is validated by experiment.
