Green water is one of the strongly nonlinear ship-wave interaction problems,which is hard to solve mathematically.The physical phenomenon of the green water is very complicated.Thus,the green water problem has attracted the attention of scholars at home and abroad.When the green water occurs,a large amount of seawater influxes into the deck,and the huge impact load will damage the deck structure,cargo and superstructure.It even caused the ship to capsize.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the impact load and dynamic response of the green water.A comprehensive review about the principal theory and recent research progress of green water is introduced in the present paper.A numerical simulation the phenomenon of green water on deck is established by ALE method.It makes the push plate,wave propagation and its interaction with the structure of the hull a complete process.To accomplish the above research objective,the following aspects of efforts are performed.Firstly,the basic theories and research methods of the green deck are mastered.From the deal method of FSI point of view,the theory of the ALE finite element method and Explicit Central Difference Algorithm are studied.Grasp the material parameters and the unit model of the finite element model.The coupling method and penalty function contact algorithm for ship and water and air are studied.Based on the above numerical simulation method,the principle of numerical wave making and the key technology of LS-DYNA are studied.Then the sink wave-the ship model coupled system is established.Moreover,the numerical simulation results are contrasted with the test ones,and the available of the numerical simulation method the validity of the calculation model is proved.In order to make a clear and intuitive representation of the phenomena and impact response characteristics of the green water,a refined three-dimensional finite element model was established.The influence of different factors such as draught,wave height and speed on deck was studied,and the parameters such as wave force and impact pressure are investigated regularly.
