In recent years,Dalian Port's container business has always maintained a rapid development momentum,but the large ship handling efficiency bottleneck problem,traditional handling mode brings environmental problems,and large mechanical labor shortage and rising labor costs have been gradually highlight problems.To solve the above problems,reduce the gap with the world's most advanced port,with the construction of Dalian Port Dayaowan phase four project as an opportunity to carry out research on automation technology,and the construction of automated container terminal,in order to promote the service level of port and technology upgrades,to further enhance the core competitiveness of the port,will have very important significance.In this paper,adhering to the "meet the planning,according to local conditions","innovation of advanced,reliable,efficient and economic wisdom fusion","green harmonious and sustainable construction principle,according to the business development trend of loading and unloading harbour container terminal,combined with the actual needs of the Dalian Port group's own development,to explore the necessity and feasibility of upgrading the container terminal.By foreign and domestic automated container terminal related literature and information collection,statistics and analysis of container terminal automation technology summary of demonstration for the terminal layout,handling technology,equipment selection,information system,on this basis,through the analysis of technology and economy,formulate feasible,scientific and reasonable automated container terminal upgrade transformation plan.Through the construction of large-scale automated container terminal,Dalian Port group will further improve production efficiency,reduce production costs,enhance the comprehensive strength of enterprises;the container terminal upgrade will strengthen the application of advanced technology in Dalian Port automation,upgrading,integration of resources,adjustment function,enhance the capacity for sustainable development and accumulated valuable experience for the Dalian Port and Liaoning coastal port transformation.
