The mounted-floating ring seal has simple structure and has been widely applied to high temperature and high speed applications,such as aero engines,gas turbines,compressors,etc.However,the uneven radial displacement of the mounted-floating ring results in the decrease of the working gap of the floating ring,which leads to detachment of mounting or contact rubbing between the inner-wall and the shaft.A numerical calculation model of the floating ring seal is set up and form the calculation method of the working gap.The influence of the factors such as structural parameters,operating parameters and the material of sealing components on working gap of the floating ring is analyzed,then the design and analysis method of the "constant-gap" structure of the mounted-floating ring is put forward.Using VS software development platform,we developed a mounted-floating ring structure design and analysis software.A gas film floating ring seal fluid analysis model is established,and the calculation and analysis method of the performance parameters of the floating ring seal is formed.The influence of structural parameters and operation parameters on the sealing performance parameters of floating ring seal is analyzed,and put forward the improvement method of floating ring seal structure design.The mounted-floating ring interface and radial displacement measuring platform is set up to complete the working of mounting between the different materials of metal rings and the same specification of graphite ring.The radial displacement of mounted-floating ring at different operating temperatures is measured,which proves the correctness of the numerical calculation method of floating ring working gap.Develop the static and dynamic leakage measurement system of air film floating ring seal,andthe principle analysis test of the leakage performance of the floating ring is completed,and proved that the method of numerical analysis and calculation of the leakage performance of floating ring is correct.The analysis method of the mounted-floating ring seal provides a new design idea for the application in the harsh conditions such as high-temperature and high-speed.The mechanical analysis model of the mounted-floating ring provides a theoretical basis for its systematization and procedural process,and it also has made some contribution to expand the application of the mounted-floating ring in the engineering technology.
