Airboat is an amphibious boat which use hydrodynamics and aerodynamics principle comprehensively,driven by air propeller and not limited by water depth.it has advantages including small dimensions,high speed,great maneuverability,simple structure and low cost in manufacturing.Wetland is the precious natural resource and have an important effect.But the situation of wetland is very complicated,for example,there are problems such as small water flow and narrow channels,seriously affecting the efficiency of shipping.Airboat can better adapt to the complicated shipping conditions of wetland river basin,which provide strong support for the implementation of the wetland ecological protection strategy.A new type of airboat model was built on the basis of referencing domestic and foreign advanced airboat,and its water and air resistance performance was studied preliminarily in the use of CFD software STAR-CCM+ based on the finite volume method(FVM)and the reference for the research and optimization of ship types was provided.In this paper,the research status of airboat at home and abroad was reviewed,the research progress of CFD technology in the hydrodynamics of airboat and similar ship was explained.Based on the research methods of this paper,the numerical simulation approach fit for the features of airboat was proposed,and pay attention to the instructions of the set up of calculation domain,near wall mesh division and surface mesh size.The numerical method was validated by comparing experimental data of an abroad airboat.The hull basic feature and working mechanism of the airboat was introduced,the calculation model was selected,and the resistance performance was analyzed by the CFD technique.Through the comparison with shallow V-shaped airboat in resistance,hull behavior,wave-making and pressure distribution,the similarities and differences of the resistance performance of those two hull type was analyzed and the superiority of resistance performance of the flat type boat was explained.The incremental research method was used to analyze the length-beam ratio,gravity position center position,longitudinal section shape and the deadrise angle of aft hull on the airboat resistance performance in a certain range,and the impact mechanism was explained.Based on the theory of mechanics of viscous fluid,a numerical simulation for air resistance of airboat was established.By means of numerical simulation,the aerodynamic resistance of the airboat model in preamble was simulated,and the change in proportion of total resistance with the increase of speed was analyzed.The air resistance performance of airboat with superstructure was studied and the details of flow field was elaborated on the basis of numerical simulation results.Based on the method of aerodynamics,the corresponding aerodynamic coefficients in the situations of different drift angles and attack angles of airboat was calculated,effects of the varied aerodynamic coefficients by drift angles and attack angles was discussed.
