The large amplitude vibration,caused by sudden ice shedding on conductor,is a common vibration form on the overhead power transmission lines,and it threats electrical and mechanical safety of conductor and line hardware in heavy icing areas.Previous studies just focused on ice shedding based on single conductor or one equivalent from bundle conductors.Considering the special deicing condition on bundle conductors,in this study,the conducting deicing tests and numerical simulation were applied to study dynamic performances of ice shedding on transmission conductor.The experiment system which was used to simulate non-uniform icing and asynchronous deicing process on bundle conductors has been developed,and the tests of single conductor and bundle conductors under a series of typical deicing condition were conducted to investigate effects of unsynchronized deicing,and various deicing amount and positions on the response of transmission conductors.Compared with experiment and simulation values,this study has shown that it is feasible to conduct above ice shedding tests and practical to research on ice shedding on transmission conductors.Considering the tests' limitation,a simulation model of typical six bundled conductor-spacers system was created to study changing rules of dynamic response with various deicing amount,deicing positions,and number of sub-conductor for deicing under conditions of uneven deicing,unsynchronized deicing on sub-conductor,and uneven icing.The results including ice shedding dynamic characteristics and their influence factors of bundle conductors can provide a technical basis for anti-ice jumping scheme design of transmission lines.Taking the interphase spacer 's suppression effect on the ice shedding of conductors into consideration,a simulation model of three phase double bundled conductors for icing shedding in a deicing fault area was built to analyze the dynamic response of each phase conductor when the single phase conductor was deicing.And compare the suppression effects of different arrangement scheme of interphase spacers on the ice shedding,which can provide important reference for the installation of interphase spacer in transmission line engineering.
